What a space hotel room might look like
What a space hotel room might look like

Whenever I want to relax and pamper myself, I book a night or two at a hotel. But the following hotels are just so strange, I'm not sure if I'll be able to get any R&R! :)

Cave Hotels - No matter how advance technologically human beings are, we can't seem to forget our initial homes. Check this hotel out for some cave-dwelling experience. :)

Capsule Hotels - This are not for claustrophobic persons. Capsule hotels in Japan offer the smallest accommodation rooms in the world at 1 x 1 x 2 meters dimension of a room! But don't worry, you will still be cared for as inside is a small TV of your own with headsets and comfortable pillows and bedsheets. Used mostly by business men who have missed the last train out of the city, capsule hotels have also captured the interest of women, thereby the segragated rooms of some hotels. There's also a communal shower and lockers where you can keep your valuables.

Ice Hotels - This one is in Sweden, but I think in one legs of the Amazing Race editions, the contestants had to stay in an ice hotel too where everything is made of ice! From the bed, to your dining wares, you'll definitely not feel the hot summer here.

Five Scary Hotels - since I was young, I really hate it when people share ghost stories.. It gives me difficulty sleeping at night, thanks to my over-active imagination.

Top 10 Romance Hotels in the World - Hmm.. I think I can get some R&R (and some loving too!) that is, if I'm not single. :S

Space Hotels - Whoa! This is really out of this world! I'm sure the transportation costs would be out of this world too. :D

The best hotel for me needs to have a big bed (I mean giant) and a beautiful bathroom. A good view and room service!

Unfortunately I ve been in too many 4 stars hotels that were extremely dissapointing.

I agree. Bed and bathroom (preferably with bathtub) are very important to me too.

Four star hotel rooms vary in room size depending on location. For example in Hong Kong where space is very limited, a four star hotel room would be a bit (or a lot) smaller compared to a four star or even a three star hotel in let's say the US.
